It was a proper cat-fight when Mt. Vernon took on Princeton on Tuesday. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tigers 3-1. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Mt. Vernon's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Princeton, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
