Volleyball Game Preview: Brookside Cardinals vs. Trinity Trojans

The Brookside Cardinals will square off against the Trinity Trojans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Brookside came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Firelands. The Cardinals have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Trinity came up short against Fairview on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-13.

Brookside's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Brookside couldn't quite get it done against Trinity in their previous meeting back in August of 2016 as they fell 3-1. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
