Soccer Game Preview: Traip vs. Gray-New Gloucester + How To Watch

The Traip Rangers will head out on the road to take on the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Traip is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Monmouth Academy, who was ranked 12th at the time (Traip was ranked 17th). The Rangers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The match was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but Traip couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Gray-New Gloucester's offense. They lost 8-0 to Yarmouth on Tuesday. Gray-New Gloucester haven't had much luck with Yarmouth recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Gray-New Gloucester's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Traip, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Traip skirted past Gray-New Gloucester 4-3 in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
