Volleyball Recap: Kittson Central/Lancaster Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Kittson Central/Lancaster entered their tilt with East Grand Forks on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Green Wave. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Green Wave on Thursday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Kittson Central/Lancaster got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 16-25, 16-14.

Kaydence White paced Kittson Central/Lancaster's offense, picking up 13 kills. White got some help from Afton Lindgren and her 16 assists. Lindgren also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brynn Hennen, racking up two apiece.

Despite the loss, East Grand Forks still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Spilde, who had 12 digs. Lanee Hams also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Kittson Central/Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for East Grand Forks, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.

Kittson Central/Lancaster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Nevis on the 6th. As for East Grand Forks, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Thief River Falls on the 6th.
