Preview: Colquitt Christian Academy Cavaliers vs. St. Teresa's Catholic Crusaders
The Colquitt Christian Academy Cavaliers will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the St. Teresa's Catholic Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Colquitt Christian Academy was beaten by Byne Christian 62-24.
Meanwhile, St. Teresa's Catholic was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 55-51 to First Academy.
Despite the loss, St. Teresa's Catholic saw an underclassman step up: Sermario MJ Wiggins scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Dyland Rangel, who scored eight points.
Colquitt Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for St. Teresa's Catholic, they bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Colquitt Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against St. Teresa's Catholic in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colquitt Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
