Volleyball Recap: Apex Friendship Takes a Loss

The Apex Friendship Patriots lost 3-0 to the Seaforth Hawks on Monday.

Apex Friendship was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-7, 25-23.

Seaforth can attribute much of their success to Ian Winger, who had five aces. Those five aces gave Winger a new career-high.

Apex Friendship's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Seaforth, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Apex Friendship is set to challenge their familiar foe Millbrook at 6:00 p.m. on April 9. Meanwhile, Seaforth will square off against rival East Chapel Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
