Basketball Recap: South Anchorage Gets the Win

South Anchorage posted their closest win since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Chugiak Mustangs 50-47. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 66-51 loss the last time these two teams met.

South Anchorage is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Chugiak, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
