Football Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Calhoun Colts

The MacArthur Generals will head out on the road to face off against the Calhoun Colts on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

MacArthur came into this matchup off a tough 39-point defeat last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of New Hyde Park Memorial by a score of 19-16 on Saturday. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Calhoun was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell 14-7 to Long Beach. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Marines are ranked 113th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Calhoun fell to 3-1. As for MacArthur, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

MacArthur strolled past Calhoun in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 24-6. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
