Volleyball Recap: Morro Bay Comes Up Short

Morro Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taft Toreadors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Morro Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Taft, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-11.

Looking ahead, Morro Bay will head out on the road to take on Paso Robles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Taft, they will be taking part in a tournament against Oak Park at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
