Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Rainier vs. Auburn

The Mt. Rainier Rams will take on the Auburn Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Rainier's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Mt. Rainier will bounce into Monday's match after beating Kennedy Catholic, who they had gone 0-7-2 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Auburn's offense. They came up short against Auburn Riverside on Thursday, falling 4-0.

Mt. Rainier's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3-4 and their overall record up to 3-4-4. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1.
