Basketball Recap: Whitewater Comes Up Short

Whitewater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt an 81-31 loss at the hands of the Burlington Demons. The Whippets lost against the Demons in their previous head to head back in February of 2015, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 51-47 score last time.

Whitewater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Burlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Whitewater has already played their next contest (against Evansville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Burlington will be playing in front of their home fans against Union Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Burlington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
