            Baseball Preview: Ramsey Rams vs. Northern Highlands Highlanders        
        
		
        
        
            The Ramsey Rams will take on the Northern Highlands Highlanders at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. Ramsey is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last four games.
On Wednesday, Ramsey made easy work of River Dell  and carried off  an  11-5 win.
 Anthony Irving made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. Irving was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  he has  launched this season.

 In other batting news,  Sean Sailer was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alex DeSimone, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 Ramsey  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in five consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Northern Highlands suffered their closest  defeat since April 4th on Wednesday. They fell just short of Ramapo by a score of  10-8. The Highlanders haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
 Northern Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Ramsey, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  on the road.
 Ramsey couldn't quite finish off Northern Highlands in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024 and fell  9-7. Can the Rams avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
