Basketball Recap: Hatch Valley Takes a Loss

Hatch Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-36 loss at the hands of the Hot Springs Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-31 two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why Hatch Valley lost, don't look at Omar Gonzalez. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Johnny Garcia, who had five points.

Hatch Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Hot Springs, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-7.

While Hatch Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
