Baseball Recap: Broughton Comes Up Short

Broughton lost against Cardinal Gibbons on April 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Capitals fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 4-2.

Garrett Waters made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two doubles. Matthew Solomon was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Broughton's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Broughton nor Cardinal Gibbons have any future games scheduled.
