Softball Recap: A.C. Reynolds Takes a Loss

A.C. Reynolds came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-1 to the Enka Jets. The defeat continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Jets: they've now lost nine in a row.

A.C. Reynolds saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Edmonds, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Reese Penland also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

A.C. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Enka, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A.C. Reynolds will face off against Asheville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Enka, they will square off against T.C. Roberson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
