Volleyball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe was the 3-1 winner over Northwest when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chiefs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Thursday.

Santa Fe was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Northwest work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 20-25, 25-22, 25-10.

Defeat or not, Santa Fe got some senior leadership from Jacey Wilsie and Mia Lark. Wilsie had 12 digs and four aces, while Lark had 18 digs and one assist. Lark has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northwest, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Santa Fe has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Lawson on the 8th. Northwest has also already played their next contest (against Sweet Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
