Football Recap: Caden Coffman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Connally over Grandview

Connally's game on Friday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 39-35 to the Grandview Zebras. The Cadets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Zebras apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Several Cadets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Coffman, who threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also picked up 50 receiving yards.incredibly, Coffman got all that yardage with just one huge grab Braeden Ford was in the mix as well, providing Connally with two TDs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Connally fell to 2-1. As for Grandview, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Connally will be playing in front of their home fans against Alvarado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grandview, they will venture away from home to face off against Malakoff at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
