Recap: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Langtree Charter Lions
In what's become a running theme this season, the Community School of Davidson Spartans gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Langtree Charter at home to the tune of 82-48. The win was some much needed relief for Community School of Davidson as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Community School of Davidson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Shields led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dermot Lowry, who scored 21 points along with five steals.
Community School of Davidson's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Langtree Charter, they dropped their record down to 1-24 with that loss, which was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season.
Community School of Davidson will face off against Pine Lake Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Langtree Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Christ the King at 7:30 p.m.
