Softball Recap: Creekview Comes Up Short

The Creekview Mustangs came up short against the Lake Ridge Eagles on Tuesday, falling 16-6. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaelani Rogers and Kelis Lee stepped up to the plate in a big way. Rogers scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Lee scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Rogers has been hot recently, having also posted at least one home run the last four times she's played. Malory Martin was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Creekview lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in January.

Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Lake Ridge, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Creekview will be taking part in a tournament against Royse City at 12:10 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Ridge, they will take on Eagle Mountain in a tournament on Thursday.
