Basketball Recap: Minooka Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Minooka hadn't done well against Oswego East recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Minooka Indians walked away with a 59-50 victory over the Oswego East Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Wolves back in December of 2024, they had to take a 60-52 loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Minooka to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madelyn Kiper, who went 10 for 18 en route to 25 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Naya Carter, who posted 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Minooka has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for Oswego East, they moved to 14-8 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Minooka will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Yorkville at 6:30 p.m. Minooka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season. As for Oswego East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-58 loss against Waubonsie Valley on the 1st.
