League recap: Serra's Bates delivers best pitching performance from past week

Serra's Solemon Bates was the best pitcher in Del Rey this week. Over the past week, he had two wins and nine Ks.

Trent Hammond was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .615 average with seven RBIs. The Cavaliers went 2-0.

Bishop Amat's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only nine hits and five walks, both of which led the league.

Serra scored a league-best 36 runs this week, adding to its league-leading 253 runs on the season.

There were four hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Trent Hammond, who hit .615 by going 8-for-13.



The Cavaliers' Bates led the league in strikeouts this week with nine. With 40 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks seventh in the league.
