Baseball Game Preview: Dayton Broncos vs. Pasadena Eagles

For the second straight game, Dayton will face off against Pasadena. The Broncos will square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Dayton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Pasadena with a sharp 21-4 win on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Broncos needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Landon Curry looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sebastian Avila was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peyton Trahan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Dayton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dayton's record is now 12-14. As for Pasadena, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
