Baseball Recap: Boone County Comes Up Short

Boone County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Villa Madonna Vikings. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Boone County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Burks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Boone County's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Villa Madonna, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-12-1.

As of now, neither Boone County nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
