Softball Recap: Massabesic Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Massabesic's offense. They came up short against the Cheverus Stags on Monday, falling 15-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Stags recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Massabesic now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cheverus, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Massabesic will face off against rival Deering at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cheverus is set to take on their familiar foe Kennebunk at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Stags 1.3, the Rams 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
