Recap: Christopher Bearcats vs. Vienna Eagles
The Christopher Bearcats lost against the Vienna Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Christopher fell 61-48 to Vienna. Christopher has not had much luck with Vienna recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Vienna was led to victory by Hunter Webb and Owen Treat. Webb scored 19 points along with three steals, while Treat almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine assists. Treat has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 16 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcato Constante, who scored nine points.
Christopher has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. As for Vienna, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-6.
Christopher will head out on the road to take on Sesser-Valier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sesser-Valier and Christopher are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Vienna, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-66 victory vs. Goreville on the 10th.
