After losing to West Islip the last time they met, West Babylon decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Lions on Wednesday.

Anthony Gerbasio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Steve Gervasi, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Timothy Erwig, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

West Babylon's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against West Islip: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
