Baseball Recap: Chester Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Chester couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 8-0 to the Brookeland Wildcats on Friday. The Yellowjackets were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Wildcats' pitchers proved too tough.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8-1. As for Brookeland, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2.

Chester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookeland, they will face off against Avalon on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
