Softball Recap: Eustace Bulldogs vs. Malakoff Tigers
Eustace had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-11-1 to make it four. They lost 8-0 to the Malakoff Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on March 6th.
As for Malakoff, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-7. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
For Malakoff's part, the result came thanks to Alabama Anding's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. With that strong performance, Anding is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kenna Bivins, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklee Hayes, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
