Basketball Game Preview: Rushville-Industry Rockets vs. Central/Southeastern Panthers

Rushville-Industry is 0-7 against Central/Southeastern since February of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rushville-Industry Rockets will face off against the Central/Southeastern Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rushville-Industry will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Hamilton/Warsaw, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. Rushville-Industry snuck past Hamilton/Warsaw with a 47-43 victory on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Rockets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Central/Southeastern entered their tilt with Pittsfield on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victor by a 60-37 margin over the Saukees. The Panthers pushed the score to 53-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Saukees cut but never quite recovered from.

Central/Southeastern is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for Rushville-Industry, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-16.

Rushville-Industry took a serious blow against Central/Southeastern when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 69-39. Can Rushville-Industry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
