Basketball Recap: Falls City Takes a Loss

The matchup between Falls City and Stockdale on Friday hardly resembled the 31-29 effort from their previous meeting. The Falls City Beavers were beaten by the Stockdale Brahmas 68-40. The Beavers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Brahmas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

When it comes to explaining why Falls City lost, don't look at Kain Jurgajtis. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Jurgajtis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last nine games he's played dating back to last season.

Falls City has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for Stockdale, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Falls City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 defeat against Yorktown on the 13th. Stockdale has also already played their next game, a 47-35 win against Weimar on the 13th.
