Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Strasburg-Franklin

Strasburg-Franklin entered their tilt with Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints, sneaking past 39-36. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ethan Rothrock, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Rothrock a new career-high in blocks (two). Dylan Dumermuth was another key player, putting up eight points.

Strasburg-Franklin pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
