Basketball Recap: Pawnee City Triumphs

Pawnee City won the last time they faced Lewiston, and Kinsley Benson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Pawnee City Indians simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Lewiston Tigers 57-28 thanks in part to Benson, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in assists.

Emalyse Gottula was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Lewiston lost, don't look at Maddie Janssen. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points.

Pawnee City's record now sits at 6-12. As for Lewiston, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Pawnee City has already played their next matchup, a 64-21 loss against Sacred Heart on the 4th. As for Lewiston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southern on February 11th.
