Softball Recap: Mia Cristalli Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Platt

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seymour, Rocky Hill was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Platt Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The Terriers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ingris Lin looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Rocky Hill's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mia Cristalli, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Ally Killoran was another, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Rocky Hill's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Platt, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Rocky Hill will challenge Berlin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Platt, they will face off against Newington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Nor'easters have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
