Football Recap: Lancaster Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Lancaster hadn't done well against Quartz Hill recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles strolled past the Royals with points to spare, taking the game 34-20. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lancaster had a senior duo take command as Arthur Turner rushed for 258 yards and two TDs while picking up 11.2 yards per carry and Jacob Walker rushed for 150 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Walker really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run.

Lancaster was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 436 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Lancaster didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Synceer Guillory, Skylar Batchelor, and Keanu Sosa picked up one apiece. Lancaster got some further help from Davien Cathcart: he picked up 0.5 sacks and made ten total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Lancaster's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. As for Quartz Hill, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4.
