Baseball Recap: Sergeant Bluff-Luton Comes Up Short

Sergeant Bluff-Luton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harlan Cyclones. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cyclones apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Harlan, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Sergeant Bluff-Luton is taking a road trip to challenge St. Albert at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Harlan, they will head out to face off against Atlantic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
