Clinton-Massie dropped their record down to 5-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 22-15 to the Franklin Wildcats. On the bright side, the 15- run performance marked the Falcons' highest-scoring contest to date.

As for Franklin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8. Considering they have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Franklin's part, Aiden Standifer made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Standifer was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-6 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 11 games.

In other batting news, Franklin got a massive performance out of Connor Monk, who went 3-for-6 with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Monk a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Eyink, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Clinton-Massie and Franklin could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 210th) will meet Batavia (ranked 49th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Franklin will face off against Chaminade Julienne Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (402 vs. 84).
