Kalamazoo Christian entered their tilt with Calvin Christian on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Squires. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Comets have posted since May 10th.

Allison Howes made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cecile Ybema and Madalyn Vlietstra did most of the damage at the plate: Ybema got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Vlietstra went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Carien Ybema was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
