Basketball Recap: Anderson Starts Season with Win on the Road

Anderson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 43-34 win over the Paradise Bobcats on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cubs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anderson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jagger Johnson, who posted nine points in addition to five boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elias Whitehead, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

Coming up, Anderson will challenge Gridley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paradise, they will face off against Mt. Shasta at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
