Softball Recap: Upper Perkiomen Comes Up Short

Upper Perkiomen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Upper Merion Area Vikings. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Vikings when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eva McCormick was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Maddie Deeble, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Upper Perkiomen's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Upper Merion Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Upper Perkiomen will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Boyertown at 4:00 p.m. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Upper Merion Area, they will welcome Valley Forge Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
