Baseball Game Preview: Randle Lions vs. Fort Bend Kempner Cougars

For the second straight game, Randle will face off against Fort Bend Kempner. The Lions will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m.

Randle proved they can win big on Friday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Fort Bend Kempner 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since March 7th.

Randle saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaeden Humphrey, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. The Lions are undefeated when Humphrey posts two or more stolen bases, but 11-12-2 otherwise.

Randle pushed their record up to 16-12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Bend Kempner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15-1.
