            Baseball Recap: Washington Hatchets vs. Sullivan Golden Arrows        
        
		
        
        
            Washington entered their tilt with Sullivan on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Golden Arrows 15-5. With that  win, the Hatchets brought their scoring average up to 6.3  runs per game.

 Alton Ostby made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with five  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run.
 In other batting news, Washington let  Trey James and  John Chapman run wild. James  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with four  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Chapman  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  run. James is becoming a predictor of Washington's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 7-1 (and 3-7 when he doesn't).  Zach Veale was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Washington's record is now 10-8. As for Sullivan,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 16-4.
 Coincidentally, Washington and Sullivan will both be playing Silver Creek the next time they take the field. The Golden Arrows will head out to face the Dragons at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday, while the Hatchets will play them later in the day, at 3:30  p.m.
