Volleyball Recap: Woodlands Academy Falls Short of Beacon Academy in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Woodlands Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Beacon Academy Trailblazers by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trailblazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Woodlands Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-14.

Chloe Mensah paced Woodlands Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Mensah got some help from Emmy Seliga and her 20 assists. Valeria Santoyo controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Woodlands Academy's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Beacon Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Woodlands Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beacon Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Christian Heritage Academy on the 29th.
