Basketball Recap: Broadwater Academy Vikings vs. StoneBridge Cavaliers
The Broadwater Academy Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. Their tough 53-33 defeat to StoneBridge might stick with them for a while. Broadwater Academy has struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as their match on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Logan Hickman and Rufus Abbott certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hickman scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Abbott scored 12 points along with three steals. Hickman continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
It was another big night for Tyler Thompson, who scored 18 points along with six steals and five assists for StoneBridge. Another player making a difference was Douglas Marshall, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Broadwater Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for StoneBridge, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

As for StoneBridge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Isle of Wight Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses.
