Woodside pushed their record up to 8-7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for San Mateo, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Woodside took their win against San Mateo in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodside since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
