The Kern Valley Broncs will face off against the Rosamond Roadrunners at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Kern Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Kern Valley made easy work of Frazier Mountain and carried off a 24-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Broncs in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

Aeden Quezada and Aiden Madden made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Quezada pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Madden pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Quezada has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Quezada got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Madden got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Quezada is becoming a predictor of Kern Valley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Kern Valley let Blake Baughman and Ethan Stockwell run wild. Baughman got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Stockwell got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Blagg, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Kern Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
Boron hit Rosamond with a eight-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Roadrunners lost 12-2 to the Bobcats. The Roadrunners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rosamond's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Kern Valley, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kern Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rosamond struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Kern Valley's way against Rosamond in their previous meeting back in April, as Kern Valley made off with a 15-9 victory. Will the Broncs repeat their success, or do the Roadrunners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
