After a string of four wins, Addison Trail's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost 10-3 to the Glenbard West Hilltoppers. The Blazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hilltoppers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jordan Ciezobka was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Addison Trail's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Glenbard West, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Addison Trail will face off against Berwyn/Cicero Morton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blazers are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Glenbard West, they will challenge Lyons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Hilltoppers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
