Baseball Recap: Lincoln County Makes It Four in a Row at Home

While Lincoln County put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Wayne. The Panthers blew past the Pioneers 10-0. The Panthers have beaten the Pioneers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pioneers has come to flipping the script.

Bralin Peters made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Garrett Adkins, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Walker Kessel, who earned three runs.

Lincoln County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Wayne, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-22.
