Recap: Linn Wildcats vs. Farmington Knights

The Linn Wildcats's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 42-40 victory from a begrudging Wildcatssquad. The win was all the more spectacular given their disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Farmington is ranked 17th).

Linn can attribute much of their success to Vivien Baker, who scored 13 points. Baker continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Senevey, who scored eight points.

Linn's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Farmington, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Linn will stay at home for another game and welcome Owensville at 5:00 p.m. on December 18th. Farmington will be home for the holidays to greet South Iron at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
