Baseball Recap: Caprock Takes a Loss

Caprock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monterey Plainsmen. If the Longhorns were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Plainsmen when the teams met back in March of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caprock's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Monterey, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-16-1.

Caprock has already played their next contest (against Amarillo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Monterey, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 defeat against Lubbock on the 25th.
