Baseball Game Preview: Bethlehem Catholic Hawks vs. Lansdale Catholic Crusaders

The Bethlehem Catholic Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Lansdale Catholic Crusaders at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Bethlehem Catholic is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Bethlehem Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Easton Area and fell 4-3.

Bryce Blawn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Richards, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Father Judge hit Lansdale Catholic with a five-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Lansdale Catholic lost 11-5 to Father Judge. Lansdale Catholic hasn't had much luck with Father Judge recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ben Holdsworth and Eddy Schlotter stepped up to the plate in a big way. Holdsworth went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Schlotter went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Holdsworth has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Taylor Mcketa also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Bethlehem Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Lansdale Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
